Welcome to Module 1 Course 1 – The Basics of Accounting
Welcome to this course on Accounting. No prior knowledge of accounting is needed. We will learn the major concepts and principles behind accounting. This includes posting accounting transactions, how to classify and report transactions, and how to generate a set of financial statements. Once you complete this course, you will have a good working knowledge of how accounting works, including how entries get posted, how transactions get classified, and how financial statements are prepared.

Moving through the Course – Use the arrow buttons in the lower right section of the page to move through each page of the course.
Course Outline – An outline of all pages and chapters is listed on the left side of the page.
Progress Bar - As you work through the table of contents, a progress bar will appear in the upper left portion of the course box. You should also pay attention to your progress within the overall course program.
